In 2014, Capoeira Agora will help to raise money for charity not only through our biennial event in support of Sport Relief – we are raising money 365 days of the year – every month for a different charity.
Capoeira is a Brazilian art form, a combination of dance and martial art. It is a way of keeping fit. It is for everyone, bringing together people of all ages, from different backgrounds, speaking different languages. It is a great way of spreading awareness.
In January, our chosen charity was the Breast Cancer Care, the breast cancer support charity.

Capoeira has unique abilities of bringing people together. In January we were united in support of the Breast Cancer Care, the breast cancer support charity.
Our target for January was £100 and we smashed it raising £147.60!
Thank you to all who have supported us and to those who were brave enough to participate in our Capoeira challenge.

Our challenge event, which took place on 23rd January, was filled with lots of positive attitude, fighting spirit, and togetherness. And that's how we have to be in fight against breast cancer.
All of the participants really gave their best in approaching the tasks. 'Can do' atitude dominated throughout.

It's not the end of our fight. Please help us spread awarness about the breast cancer, keep yourself and your loved ones and friends healthy, by learning what's normal and what's not in regards to your health, and if something doesn't seem right, check it out. Don't wait. Your health and well-being is important to us. Stay well.
We will continue spreading awarness and raising money for the Breast Cancer Care.
