This competition is now closed.

The first competition is open to the beginners, who wish to start learning Capoeira and have done none or no more than one of the Capoeira Agora courses and wish to participate in our Tuesday or Thursday course in May (no new Monday courses in May due to Bank Holidays). The second competition is for our lovely members. Good luck!

Competition 1: beginners

How do we call the main instrument in Capoeira (which is also a symbol of the art form)? (Clue on the image to the right)

Q2: how many instruments do we play in our roda and what are they (please give a name and a number of each instruments):
In Capoeira Agora school, a Roda consist of 8 musicians. They play 3 ‘Berimbaus’, 2 ‘Pandeiros’ (tambourines), 1 ‘Agô-gô’ (cow-bell), 1 ‘Reco-reco’ (scraper) and 1 ‘Atabaque’ (drum).
